Pros

SAS has great benefits for employees with children and the company is flexible and understanding of parent's schedules and responsibilities. The pay cut for the many benefits is worth it for those with children.

Cons

For employees that do not have children and can't fully exercise the many benefits that the SAS pay cut comes with, SAS is severely underpaying their employees. We are getting paid ~30-40% less at SAS than we would at other companies for the same role. Bonuses are extremely small and promotions don't happen until ~4 years in. SAS is not for young people looking to grow in their career and maintain a competitive salary.

Can't recommend if you prefer remote work

Pros

Have a policy that everyone log in to meetings, regardless if you are in the office or working from home, to make it more equitable.

Cons

If you prefer remote work, SAS will require you to pay all of your own travel expenses. And this is for traveling to work-related meetings or to customer sites. Also, SAS may not pay for items you will need related to your home office. Given how hot the job market is right now for talent, I don't know why any candidate who prefers remote work would ever apply here.
