SAS Institute is a cult like environment where the managers get away with anything and everything and those lower are stuck. Its like a kingdom, only the top 1% get the real growth.

Good people to work with, great customers, exciting atmosphere from a technology perspective.

Cons

Benefits aren't as great as touted, especially if you don't have kids. The effective employees get massive amounts of work dumped on them while the ineffective employees get to live the "SAS Work/Life Balance" that is so highly regarded.
