Travel Pay and No Hotel Stay!

Pros

I like working for this company You can pick and choose the jobs that you want and how many days you want to work as well.

Cons

I feel as if you can be a little better and flexible with the travel pay $25.00 a day is a complete joke when there are other companies paying a lot better. Also you should really think hard about providing hotel stay for people that travel for your company because this will get alot of other people on board and I feel like most if the reviews Ive read are the same hotel stay and travel range pay.

Pros

I have been doing merchandising since I was 20 years old. I have owned businesses. I have worked In several industries: beauty, decorating, Fashion and floral.

Cons

I believe that sometimes the travel does not compensate the pay and hours for a job.

Pros

You can pick your own hours. This is great if you work for multiple companies so that you can work every day to get 30-40 hours a week. Plus there are times in which you can actually name your pay (within reason) for jobs that they have a hard time finding people to work. You can self-assign jobs that are within a certain radius after a while (with some jobs). This is really good if you would like to guarantee working jobs closer to home while applying for other jobs further from home There are people that I have worked with that use SASR as a part-time job to get extra hours they can't get at Walmart. Others have retired and work at SASR to get out of the house (cookie resets, not the super hard work).

Cons

As with all companies like this, the holidays (November through early January) are a DEAD period so as previously mentioned, you better have another source of income or draw Unemployment during this period. My main complaint was the travel pay but that seemingly has improved recently. SASR generally won't put you in a hotel unless you are over 2 hours away for multiple days. If I have to be in central Arkansas, Memphis metro area or northern LA at 5am in the morning, a hotel would be a big positive. I was put up in a hotel on a TS reset/remodel by the company (not SASR) because they were one person short and wanted to guarantee I would come back the next day It's a bummer to drive 2 hours and then find out your job has been cancelled. BUT they do give you Show Up Pay plus mileage so this is not a major complaint for me I've been rarely stuck with a crew full of rookies on a reset of any kind but I can see how this might be an annoyance to sum. Nothing like taking 9 hours to do a 4-5 hour reset
