      Pros

      Corporate run company with policies in place and constant work on company culture. Even the higher executives communicate to lower level employees. Provide insurance options and explain EVERYTHING.

      Cons

      When problems or issues did arise on a location base, corporate didn't provide same attention. They seem like they just want to make issues disappear rather than resolve them.

      Pros

      The company has had a lot of turnover so most of the employees are fresh and excited to be there. This makes for a fun, high energy environment.

      Cons

      SCA is big on establishing a strong corporate culture but the effort to do so is completely outsourced to a consulting firm. I often hear co-workers describing it as not being authentic and feeling forced. Most of the corporate office is in Birmingham, Alabama but the CEO spends most of his time in a small Chicago office. The absence of the leadership is definitely felt all the way down the corporate ladder. This is not an environment that builds strong leaders.

      Pros

      Friendly coworkers, great hours, awesome patients, doctors, and anesthesia group!

      Cons

      My pay is way below the avg OR nurse salary in my area. Actually it doesn't even appear on salary(dot)(com), cost cutting leaves employees struggling with no hope for a fair raise despite superior achievements.
