Pros

Meaningful work within mission to keep older adults healthy and independent. While healthcare is complex, I appreciate that SCAN is always innovating programs to reach the most vulnerable and individuals who traditionally have barriers to accessing care (unhoused/homeless, limited English proficiency, individuals with chronic health conditions like Diabetes, etc.) Company is very thoughtful when it comes to taking care of employees - generous PTO, additional company days off to "recharge," retirement matching, etc. Coming from the nonprofit world, the additional benefits are greatly appreciated.

Cons

With healthcare being a competitive and ever-changing environment, the fast pace can be challenging.

Pros

SCAN allows their employees the ability to service our members with passion. Voices are heard and respected. While it might not mean all suggestions/new ideas can be implemented, the environment is welcoming and encourages all to speak up - see something say something. Growth happens everywhere, but SCAN has been a company that does not want to grow to fast because the members deserve personal touches with an actual human being, not a AI. Changes are being made to stay competitive - but not everyone is built for change.

Cons

Many new changes/faces in the company, but no introductions. Departments are growing, but there's no formal/informal intros.
