1. Company pays less than the market standards.
2. HR will play good cop/bad cop during salary negotiations to close the candidate at a lower package.
3. Annual appraisals dont go above 4%.
4. Micromanagement in teams and company`s stingy attitude.
5. New technology adoption doesnt exist, so no scope for upscaling skills.
6. Upper management very rarely uphelds their commitments. Only when there is a lot of attrition in a particular team is when they start focusing on employee`s well being.
7. While hiring people, skills and competency is not looked for, just people who will join them at a low package. This results in working with technically incompetent team mates making one`s job difficult.
8. A lot of office politics from the same incompetent employees as goes the saying "empty vessels make much noise".
9. Upper management thinks that paying employees less and a 4% annual appraisal will be compensated by taking them out for bi-weekly badminton sessions and arranging some food for them on the eve of festivals.
10. Company work culture and office politics feels like one is working in a typical Malay company and not an MNC.
