      Pros

      Easy scheduling and the ability to pretty much work however many shifts you want to work each month. As a contractor, you tell them how much you want to work.

      Cons

      Large amount of overhead so reduced hourly rate. You can make much more by contracting through the individual hospitals, however, most hospitals staffed by Schumacher only allow Schumacher employees/contractors. Some hospitals have questionable specialist/hospitalist coverage.

      Was very impressed that it was a physician owned company.

      Management is out of touch and will throw employees under the bus any opportunity they get.

      Wonderful work environment. Professional and friendly staff. Schumacher made sure employees were recognized for their hard work.

      Cons

      I didn't see any cons until our entire collections department was laid off.
