Dizzying amount of change and not for the better

Compensation was fair, not great, formally enjoyed working with upper management, before slash and burn changes made.

Cons

Gigantic changes in management, honest and involved folks fired or laid off, pompous, inexperienced and uniformed people took over. Lip service given to ethics/patient care, the reality is that unless it makes the financials look good it simply is lip service. Will turn a blind eye to things that are completely unacceptable to keep contracts and make profit. This is a corporate cut throat world like any other, nothing different because its medical.

Pros

They tried to keep a positive culture. After a while though, it was apparent that it was all on the surface.

Cons

Reminds me of Enron. They kept saying that the comapny was doing well and company meetings, then they started hinting about layoffs. After 2 big rounds of layoffs and much talk of no more, the CIO was fired, the CFO fired, key managers and whole learning and development department was layed off- they did not even bother to communicate layoffs any more. The talk is that AR, AP- the books in general can not be accounted for.

They have been working with us for the last two years, helping us to address several important issues, and are now joining us full-time to position us for a successful future. Not really. They keep saying great benefits, great benefits. Compared to what? The people who say great benefits obviously never worked outside of schumacher group. Ceo is a great guy though. He does care about the patients. Keep up the good work!

Cons

People come and go as they wish. Project managers, vps go shopping and for work pits during working hours. They even put those 3 hr blocks on their calenders for everyone to see. Is that acceptable in the real world?
