Pros

Management was very friendly and the culture was very relaxed. They were also very flexible with hours and time off. The environment was relaxed, as management expected tasks to be completed on-time, but were never breathing down my back to get things completed.

Cons

The company could upgrade some of its propriatary tools, like their data management system. At times, it also seemed as though many processes could be completed more efficiently given tougher management.

Pros

I get to make the world a greener place by writing web based code. What can beat that? The people here, are also great. Everyone has been gracious, accepting, and kind hearted. Made me feel part of the team since day one. Thats what we are a team. Also its in a great location, close to all the best eats of Emeryville including the public market!

Cons

The deadlines can be little tight, but if you enjoy a challenge, it belongs in the pro. I do enjoy it this way but I figured most people might not like that, hence why I put it here.

Pros

SCS is in an industry, particularly food safety, that is growing tremendously, with no reason to believe it will not continue. Their headquarters is in a great location.

Cons

There is a huge disconnect between senior management and middle management. If there is a Quality Management System, it is not being implemented in the food safety department. Food safety auditors are not provided with adequate training.
