Not the same company it once was.
Pros
Benefits are still okay, and some areas still have good work life balance.
Cons
Recent round of several hundred staff reduction (layoffs) seems to have been done without much thought or coordination. Even some managers seemed to be taken off guard that people under them were let go. Extremely poorly communicated from top management. It was timed to be done the day after a press release announcing a $441 million investment in Stratos. Making the whole thing even more confusing for many, and many are feeling like you cannot trust anything Management has to say. Upper management doesn't seem to care at all about the people, they are just numbers. More and more jobs are being moved offshore to India. So there will be more layoffs coming. Many departments are losing staff with years of knowledge with no one to backfill them and no knowledge transfer happening. The culture in general has become more toxic in the last several years and extremely unprofessional. If you want to be promoted it is all about who you are friends with and favoritism, nothing to do with job performance or merit. Exclusive management, old boys club mentality.
