Cons

PLEASE NOT- THIS IS A REVIEW FOR SES WORLD SKIES UNITED STATES GOVERNMENT SOLUTIONS Horrible management- a lot of management do not understand the satellite industry. Management is very secretive about the direction the company is taking Management secretly promotes people, demotes, and lays off people. There have been a couple of people let go and it was not expected. Management shows favoritism. They allow some to work from home while others can not. Some are allowed to have a flex-schedule while others are not. They do not hold people accountable for poor performance. There is a lot of gossip spread throughout the office. The office is clickish. A lot of retirement age workers. Not innovative, change is not welcome. Must work 8-5, working from home is extremely frowned upon. No flex-time Although most people get 4-5 weeks of vacation, you are expected to be reachable at all times. A couple of members of the same family are working in the office. husband and wives, father's and sons, son in laws. It's a family affair. It takes forever to get your computer programs to do your job when you are hired. Expect a month delay. There are constant outages, where the system goes offline, there is maintenance and they don't tell you. Open position are put on the website but they typically hire friends, past colleagues, or family.
