Working with local management was the worst part of the job. There is a severe lack of leadership within ALL facets of the management team in Arkadelphia. You'll be hired in with great promises of grandure. Then be expected to perform a job by the 10k pieces of paper they rush you through signing, by following the guidelines in those documents. You will receive no training but be expected to understand the business model without fault. Then be directed by an engineer that has zero experience in the field and cannot make decisions on his own. The culture there is VERY toxic and the good ones have left. When I was hired in, the vendors were in total disarray. I managed to establish new vendors along with correcting relationships with vendors that no longer wanted to deal with SGL. Unfortunately, with my termination after being damaged by this company (complete rotator cuff repair), a lot of vendors will not work with the management team currently in place. Having over twenty years of proven experience as an Automation Engineer, I was treated as though a mechanic from Sears. Tearing my rotator and requiring 6 months of recovery and terminated like a piece of trash speaks volumes of this facility. IF you like to kiss butt and have low self esteem (much like some of the "leads" within the facility), this may be the job for you.
