      I have been with SKA for over 20 years and couldn't see myself anywhere else. We are a mid-sized Engineering firm that feels like a family.

      Pros

      Old school firm. High level professionals, multidisciplinary firm, you have a chance to be exposed to all kinds of civil and mechanical engineering problems. Excellent IT and CAD support. Wide representation in NC (several offices). Very rich history (almost 60 years old local engineering company), very trustful relations with most of the clients. Hard working people. Very good relations between employees. Conservative approach to engineering problems.

      Cons

      Currently - in transition phase of change of the management. Loosing some of key specialists and markets (offices) during the last several years. Old school firm. Lack of modern engineering technologies and approaches. During last decade raising overhead cost were compensated by degrading of benefits and salaries. Lack of coordination between regional offices. Do not have a lot of chances to sustain in competition with most of big engineering companies from North.
