I did 3 industrial placements with Schlumberger during my PhD at their Gould research facility during my PhD.

Pros

Fantastic working environment. Staff were all very very friendly and approachable. Plenty of social and sport oppurtunties. The site also benefits from an excellent canteen.

Cons

I suppose It is on the outskirts of Cambridge, but was at most a 30 min cycle which is leisurely given Cambridge is so flat.
