Pros

overtime when industry is booming, and benefits

Cons

never know if you're working weekends until 30 minutes before you get off on Friday, management plays favorites, no room for advancement unless you're a suck up towards management no matter how hard you work

Pros

They train you well. There is plenty of opportunity for transverse career growth. Good health insurance and bonus structure. Well defined raise process.

Cons

Communication is oftentimes inadequate. You’re directly affected by oil prices so you can never be too sure you won’t be let go without much notice.
