Pros

9-5, good pay, good benefits, located in downtown Cambridge, next to Boston area

Cons

stale upward mobility for entry level, more PhD oriented, able to make a career in a single position without advancement, promotion from outside more than from within

Pros

Schlumberger is the best company to work for. When I look back and see myself I realize that Schlumberger has developed a safety attitude in myself and provided the best training and development opportunities. It is very organized and has well defined training steps up to some level.

Cons

As the company is too big and getting bigger day by day, the process within is getting complicated and hence making it too slow for everyone internally. On the top, managers should lead by example. There are procedures for everything but when it comes to business needs, they can be easily by passed.
