      Overall great, but could've been better if more guidance/heads-up was given

      Pros

      Training was excellent, all hands-on including practical operation, as well as classroom technical background knowledge. Scheduled testing, both paper and practical was held to ensure trainees understand their material and their weakness so they could improve at it. Enjoyed the company, and would recommend it to anyone with a dream.

      Cons

      Certain trainees, while they have the technical ability to solve questions, they may not be mentally prepared for the environment. "Technical, environment, dream" with all 3 may a person be successful. Environment was a challenge for me, for trainees that find difficulty in fitting into such environment, perhaps SLB can notice such symptom earlier and hold private consultation with the trainee, and decide whether they should take any extra measure for such people.

      Pros

      Great learning experience, flexible timing hours especially for non field personnel, all round development, chance to work vertically as well as horizontally in various functions such as operations, sales & marketing, HR, finance, supply chain etc. giving one a great opportunity to build a well rounded profile. Also, it is a very global company with a distinctly global culture, probably one of the few where say a Venezuelan can work as the lead in charge of a Chinese work shop.

      High level of stress, remote environment at times, organization has a flat hierarchy for those who want to grow too fast

      Pros

      Pay, Benefits, Training, work sites just about anywhere in the world, learn a lot quickly in the field

      Cons

      Long Hours, Being on call, not knowing where you'll work next, not seeing family / friends for a long period of time, Pay is good but be prepared to give up a lot of your personal time
