Schlumberger gives you the opportunity to broaden your horizons, exposes you to different cultures and different people within the same culture, teaches you how to respect humans regardless of their races, religions or beliefs. Finally, it gives you a firm grasp of work knowledge and experience.

Sometimes,it's very difficult to maintain work/ life balance specially if your job is field-based.

Decent money in the starting, when you just enter new in the oilfield industry.

Cons

Field Engineer population gets burnt out very quickly, as they are overloaded and abused beyond limits. Soon after working for couple of years, they realize, that their job is monotonous with no creativity and innovation and they cannot grow any more in the company. And their counterparts who joined in other companies are in better position in life.
