      Pros

      Make good bank. Chance to train and travel extensively. Expect to be shipped out to a site any day, even holidays. This is a job that sells your time/life for buckets of cash. Don't expect anything else.

      Cons

      No life Most Relationships won't last through too many years of this job. Work / Life balance is nonexistent. Did I mention no life?

      frustrating management

      Pros

      You are using the most updated technology and you can find very nice people in the team, allways bringing help if you need it.

      Cons

      Some managers are incredibly stupid and arrogant. Your promotion depends on the criteria of the manager with that stupid evaluation forms... if the manager, for any obscure reason you don't know, thinks that you are doing things ok and you can be a competitor in his career, he will try to promote for a field work in Nigeria, Angola, Irak or any other amazing place to live when you have a family.
