Pros
Quick way to gain wireline experience and get exposure to a variety of oilfield operations. Guaranteed promotions over time. Typical big company benefits.
Cons
Incredibly toxic company. Managers live and breathe work and expect the same from their field employees. I was harassed just for sleeping after 30+ hour jobs. I was expected to have no life outside of work. Starting salary is pitiful for a degreed engineer, with no overtime pay. Post-breakout salary rises, yes, but the training pipeline is exceptionally long. I was miserable nearly every day I was there. Most of my fellow trainee friends found a new job within a year. The misery, for me, negated any possible benefit from breaking out and carving a future into this company.
