Mike O'Brien was a great mentor and leader at SMX.

Cons

The "flat organization" at SMX for the program managers was not flat and made the job untenable. Not only did I have 2 large programs to manage, but the "flat organization" meant that we program managers were required to be direct line people managers as well, with all of the HR responsibilities of your typical manager in an IT services company.
