Financially, they do value paper degrees more than real world experience. If you have 10+ years of experience and no degree, good luck making more than a kid with a degree and no skills. They'll just dangle 4% raise in front of you while you do most the work while the kids with college degrees are lost in the work.
The company is posturing to be purchased so that's why they rebranded the name to SMX and filling positions as fast as possible with unqualified people. Don't join for the long haul. Get in, get out. Once SMX gets purchased, who knows what will happen?
