Pros

The people that we support are wonderful and the best part of the job. Health Benefits are great and very inexpensive. They promote from within. They care about their employees and their ideas.

Cons

Some of the positions can be very stressful Some positions require a lot of driving

Pros

Amazing clients, people, and programs. Healthcare benefits are $5 per pay and do not require referrals. Communicating directly is easy and management is receptive to feedback and problem solving. Creativity and career growth is encouraged. Union membership has good benefits. Paid holidays & fun special events. Daytime shifts, weekends off.

Cons

Things become unorganized and may be frustrating for those who do not like daily changes. Training needs to be better. Low pay as expected for a nonprofit. May be physically or mentally draining at times--take care of your health, use PTO.
