Pros

Good benefits - on site nurse, nice 401k salary match, etc etc Good pay - comparable to other companies that do the same type of government contracting Job security - they'll help keep you in the company if your contract ends for any reason, continue to pay for you to be on the bench until they find another position which they think you'll be capable in (be aware though, they might try to place you in a position that you don't desire or wouldn't help your career.)

Cons

Tough to advance, few opportunities that actually further your career skills, absolutely no advanced training (budget or otherwise) or in-house workshops are offered to further your skill set. Company has grown tremendously over the past 5 years and it shows in the lack of direction and organization within the ranks. Everything seems a bit disorganized and you feel disconnected from the company.

Pros

Everyone here is open to questions from new hires. Our orientation focused heavily on the company's plans to grow itself organically and through M&A for the future; for younger employees this kind of dynamism was pretty exciting and I'm eager to see what the company will evolve into.

Cons

At times it's easy to feel like you're floating. I've been trying to figure out what projects I'm most interested in and chase them, but networking as a new hire is difficult.

Pros

Good opportunities to move within the company, however those opportunities have been reduced over the last year since Stan Sloan came to run SRA.

Cons

too focused on short term growth in the last year. In the past SRA hired employees for a career and now it seems like just another body shop of beltway consultants.
