Pros

Great communication and sense of organizational belonging. The benefits are good, were great, got a little worse lately.

Cons

We're merging with CSC and spinning off into CSGov. We're trading a company culture which had a great approval rating for one of the worst in the industry.

A slowly sinking ship

Pros

Truly strives to deliver excellent services to their clients. A good place for young people to gain experience. For the most part attempts to deliver on "work-life balance".

Cons

What do you expect for a company owned by a "holding" company? The focus is on making SRA attractive for a sale by reducing costs through reducing benefits, reducing staff that reach a salary clip level, scrimping on every nickel & dime... Smart companies know how to retain talent and sustain tribal knowledge that has led to success in the past. If SRA ever becomes attractive enough for sale Providence will sell them in an instant just like they did with Hulu.

What will they take away next?

Pros

Having a job makes me not homeless. They give you a little money towards commuting expenses, until they take that away.

Cons

Incompetent management at contracted client locations. They brought the cap down on paid time off, they've taken away some paid holidays, the new health plans are inferior and more expensive than years past, no raises or raises that don't even keep up with inflation, they extended the amount of time you have to work at the company to get a few extra days paid time off, they went from matching 401k every paycheck to once a year, and you have to be an employee on the last day of the year to get it. They also seem to be winning new contracts pretty regularly, yet are doing absolutely nothing to reinstate any of the benefits that they've taken away over the past few years.
