The company has really good salaries and benefits

Cons

Culture. Everyone works in silos. Current leadership specifically in IT/OT is not great at providing direction. Employee voices go unheard and there are efficiency reviews every few years. Lot of people in the company for 30+ years and its difficult to change the ways of working.

Varied work. Good work life balance. Good package.

Cons

No promotion opportunities at all. SSE claim they promote from within but actually hire people externally, put them in other roles for a few months, then promote them 'internally'.
