Pros

1. Opportunities abound to learn and gain new experiences. Good mentors are on hand to provide the necessary guidance to new staff. 2. Career advancement can be fast for individuals who "project" themselves well. It is a good employer for scholars, individuals learning the trade or the opportunistic ones. 3. This company tries to do many things so there is probably something for everyone. It also advocates job security by pursuing less "hire-and-fire" actions compared to other multi-national companies. The "low-ambition" individuals who are not particularly driven to excel due to their own commitments may find a comfort zone here. 4. The company adheres closely to national and global regulations/strategies such as work-life balance and anti-corruption measures.

Cons

1. Leadership is largely hypocritical, dictatorial, and afflicted by tunnel vision. Decisions are also made spuriously to change personnel without foresight of succession planning. Ex-military staff could parachute into upper ranks even though they lack real world "hands-on" experience. 2. There is a fairly large pool of highly graded personnel that evolved into a micro-managing culture of sorts at many levels. This microcosm lacks humility, are defensive on shortcomings and pays lip service to values. 3. Many initiatives are undertaken for the sake of appearing "business trendy" but lacks substance or visibility of ground issues/core business principles. 4. Poor workplace culture is endemic where staff gets blamed for mistakes, resources do not get allocated and the big-picture becomes misshapen. 5. The company is also obligated to the unreasonable expectations and petty demands of high-handed military customers.
