Pros

STARS has been such a wonderful company to work for! It's great to know that there is constant support. I feel comfortable expressing any concerns, knowing that they will be addressed within a timely manner.

Cons

Because it is a contract company, I often have different schools yearly; however, that is typically out of STARS control (more so has to do with district filling in the available positions).

Competitive salaries for school based professionals, CEU reimbursements, licensure fees reimbursements, annual staff parties, lots of opportunities for growth/learning through offered workshops!

Cons

Can take longer to hear about placement/school compared to district employees, however, not bad.

Pros

Everyone in the management roll at STARS is so kind. They are very proactive and help you keep up on all of your licenses, CPR certification, fingerprint clearance card etc. They also offer great benefits. I would recommend STARS to any of my friends or colleagues looking to switch companies.

Cons

My only con about STARS would be that they do not get exact information on caseloads and the populations you will work with at the schools; however, if you are feeling overwhelmed they will do what they can to find a solution to your problems.
