Great Culture & Challenging Work!

Pros

The culture at STCU is unique and a ton of fun. A work/life balance truly exists because managers here care about their employees. The benefits are great (401K w/ company match, annual bonuses, and a fun health & wellness program to name a few). The work is challenging because as the industry changes, STCU continues to adapt and stay competitive.

Cons

As a large employer, there are sometimes too many layers for an new idea or process to go through in order to be approved.

We are proud of the culture STCU has created and has held onto for so long – thank you for mentioning this! One of the best features of our health and wellness program is a mobile app where employees have an opportunity to participate in various challenges individually or as a team. STCU also provides annual biometric screenings for all employees, flu shots and a gym at our headquarters facility. We value feedback from our employees, be on the lookout for focus groups and other ways of providing feedback this year.

Love my job!

Pros

STCU has an incredible company culture, reasonable compensation, and engaged management. Employees are encouraged to pursue self-development, and the company makes every effort to provide advancement opportunities.

Cons

The company is going through minor growing pains, which is somewhat of a necessary evil. The pay and schedules raises are reasonable, but compensation doesn't grow nearly enough to support someone who completes more than an associates degree after getting hired.

Thank you for your feedback, we appreciate hearing from our existing employees. The growth that STCU is experiencing is exciting, but you’re right, it does come with a few growing pains. STCU encourages personal and professional development and career advancement for those who are ready. Our tuition reimbursement program is something many employees take advantage of in order to prepare themselves for future opportunities. We also analyze employee compensation and external salary data on a regular basis to remain competitive and to ensure we are paying our employees at a fair rate for each position and the requirements and experience required of the position. We hope you continue to "love your job" and appreciate your continued commitment to STCU!

Pros

It was a great place to work but the pay lacked in some areas, would recommend to a friend. Happy overall and enjoyed the workplace.

Cons

Feel like the benefit's could be a little better and not so expensive. I would recommend hiring more from the outside rather than the inside due to a lack of peeps.
