Pros

The people. I loved everyone I worked with at STI, it's the reason I stayed so long.

Cons

STI was sold to Azalea Health, who got rid of the STI developers a few months after acquiring us.

Pros

-Good projects to work on. Some work involves handling legacy systems but overall company is moving toward new web based solutions. -Good, honest communication between management and workers. -Good accountability without being micromanaged. -Flexible hours, dress, WFH.

Cons

-Benefits could be better. No company match on 401k.

Pros

Well organized software development department using hybrid Agile / Scrum methodologies. Solid QA behind the developers. Open management style (for the most part).

Cons

Extensive use of antiquated C++/MFC technology in its legacy code base results in a high degree of technical debt in which a developer finds they are spending more time dancing around grenades duct taped to a motorcycle sidecar than being productive with modern technologies. Health benefits slashed dramatically in August 2015 (Thanks, Obama!).
