Pros
Decent health insurance if you teach two classes or more, but you're unlikely to manage that if you aren't a current PhD student.
Cons
Administration is awful, support isn't good for adjuncts, graduate students are barely making ends meet. There has been a living wage movement active for years but despite huge support from faculty and students, the administration continues to ignore it
