For as good as the company income is, the pay is dangerously low. Not many chances of moving up- they don’t like to hire from within.

Pros

The culture is very open. Anyone with a desire to be a part of something can do so. Moving from one department to another is only limited by time in the current position and a willingness to learn what needs to be done in another position or department. Pay is good. Benefits are great. Opportunities for growth are almost boundless. Work From Home for SWBC is just like the situation everyplace else - it's the wave of the future, and SWBC was on the cutting edge of making that happen even before the pandemic. The owners of the company are not stingy about sharing the wealth in a number of ways.

Just like any job, you're expected to do your job on time and enthusiastically.

If you enjoy drama, a hostile work environment, and working for a narcissistic VP then SWBC is the company for you. I spent nearly 3 years working for SWBC and was fired because I asked for a raise. So, whatever you do- don't ask for a cost of living raise because they will fire you. Aside from the hostile work environment, they offer mediocre benefits and although they claim to offer a good work life balance this couldn't be further from the truth. If you are considering this company I urge you to look else where. I found a new job paying 20k more than they pay doing the same thing and 100% remote.
