Pros

Company is always: - on time with payroll - hiring - acquiring other companies to grow While company is in growth mode, there are opportunities for advancement.

Cons

Not all executive decisions are good ones When executives make mistakes, employees suffer No bonuses for lower level employees No serious attempts by management to ensure proper career guidance for employees or honest attempts to ensure employees have all the information they need at any given time for appropriate action/work performance. Since leaving the company, I've become more aware of how many former coworkers left the company - some voluntarily, most not. Reorganization seems to be the norm. One day, you're promoted into a spot with a given boss. The next, it's a totally different boss and a totally different job. On the one hand, there is more documentation than is needed to understand or learn any process. On the other hand, you can't find it, and mostly it's out of date. Company focuses heavily on "compliance." But processes, even though addressed, seem to be less important in the long run than looking good on paper.

Pros

Lots of free pizza to distract you from the loss of benefits

Cons

- Promised bonuses, and an amount, only to be told a few week later that they were to be cut by almost half because they “went over budget the year prior”. This was 3 months into the following year. Either very poor financial management, or, dishonesty. Then proceeded to donate $1m the following week so Gary and Charlie can have other people see their name on a building. Also have ample money to buy friendship from their favorite sports players. -Advertised remote and hybrid roles (with no indication they may be eliminated), and then proceeded to require all employees within a 50 mile radius report to office five days a week. They waited until the job market was poor to make this change in order to avoid hemorrhaging their work force, and trapping employees who were remote workers. - “Raises” don’t match inflation, so effectively you will be paid less each year you work here. Matches the theme of overall low compensation relative to the market and SWBC’s competitors. - Very little investment in hardware or resources to assist employees with their job. - Benefits package, specifically dental, is very poor for a company of this size.
