Pros

Easy work, good pay if you are motivated.

Cons

Corporate mentality, so unless you’re in Utah, you’re unlikely to know the higher ups all that well

We are sad to hear about your varied experience. Edge is a large company in nine states, and our management has implemented several strategies to make our employees feel connected. For example, monthly messages directly from our CEO and weekly company wide culture training are just a couple examples of how management brings us together.

Pros

Some of the pros at Edge is the culture aspect of the job. When I first started here I found this as a temp job until I can find work in another field I am more traditionally associated with. I am still here full time to this day and the culture has what kept me around for some time. Another pro with working for Edge, is the endless opportunities to help the company grow, the branch grow, and grow yourself. We have installed many new aspects of the job some great some not so great, but one thing that has come that we all can appreciate is the sales aspect. It’s very easy in my opinion to sell a service, and collecting residual payment on recurring services is always a nice little bonus when you’re not expecting it.

Cons

Cons, there are some cons like every job. The biggest take away in cons that I see on a day to day basis is the expectation that we are here and our lives revolve around this. In my few years here I’ve noticed a steady Trend with requesting time off, as well as having other set obligations the managers make you feel guilty in taking time off, or when you request a small favor from them. It makes me not want to ask for time off as I feel that endangers job security here.

We appreciate all the feedback in your review. As you have said, the culture is unique and focused on growth, and we want to provide employees with plenty of opportunities! We are sad to hear that you are uncomfortable asking for days off. Every employee has the option to take days off. Maintaining a healthy work-life balance is important to Edge; if you are feeling the work-life balance is not proportional, please reach out to your manager to discuss these issues.
