Pros

Good industry, great products, potential

Cons

Where to start? Firstly, the company is now actively encouraging positive Glassdoor reviews, even if they aren't true. Clear favouritism, meaning that even the most toxic and incompetent of people land and maintain management positions and go on to build their own little teams of people pleasers. The staff turnover is high because the atmosphere is very toxic and full of distrust, meaning no one really knows what they are doing as the employees are mostly new and inexperienced and/or not of the best calibre due to the awful reputation that Safeguard now has. Zero interest in improving the international business, the supply chain has suffered for literally years and yet nothing changes, other than pretty much the entire team leaving, so having to start again. Untruthful members of staff in a department that should allegedly care for humans, one in particular has outlasted many due to deceitful behaviour and lies.

Pros

Some genuine hard workers and amazing people that are sadly left by the side and go unappreciated.

Cons

HR are encouraging us to write positive reviews to save the company some face rather than actually sort the problems which lead to these bad reviews. Management that are only there because they are all friends with each other, trainers who pick and choose who they want too train rather than train everyone. These trainers don't have a clue what they are doing sometimes and will change processes on a dime to suit themselves which then leads too things being done wrong by everyone else and sadly the blame falls on the people at the bottom. A production manager that refuses to fix problems when they arise and will wait until its too late making every team have too start from scratch and fall way behind. Don't bother telling HR any of your problems either because it then becomes shop floor gossip. Rumours of them making us work on Christmas as well. Some days it genuinely feels like management are trying to kill this company, would rather have their friends up the ladder than people who are actually fit for the positions. The lack of communication is one of the worst things as well. They just expect you too know without informing you. Things are only going to get much worse if they keep ignoring the problems and feedback.

Pros

I really enjoy working for safeguard, I have worked here for over 4 years and have watched the company grow and improve every year. There are good opportunities to progress, if you put in the work. We have received a significant pay rise in the last few months, which now reflects our value. Everyone who works here are friendly and approachable people that I socialize with inside and outside of work. Finally, the work is unique and versatile, which makes it a rewarding place to work.

Cons

With Safeguard being a global company there are a few communication issues due to working time zones. However this is improving with structured meetings.
