Hard work pays off

Pros

The pay is great. If you can make it past a year it becomes an easy job. Pay increase/tech level is directly tied to your performance. You have opportunities to work in other states and even other countries tries which pays extremely well.

Cons

Pay increase/tech level is tied to your performance. The first year can be pretty hard as you're still learning your craft. You have high expectations to perform and it can be very frustrating as every car is different and has its own set of issues. High turnover rate due to new techs not being able to handle the work load.

Pros

Work from home. That's about it.

Cons

Attendance policy sucks. If you have internet issues or if you're on hold with IT for more than 45 minutes, you are required to call the call off line. It still counts against you, even if it's no fault of your own. No sick days, and any PTO has to be requested at least 2 weeks in advance. Then there's the calls. You're required to do everything you can to get them scheduled, even after they say no. The bar for wiper sales is pretty low, but it's still not easy selling them for $70 for a set (when they're only about $16 for employees). Most of management is cliquey, condescending, and play favorites with their teams. JC I had threatened termination on more than one occasion, for various reasons, mainly low sales.
