Pros

Its a great location to work at, fairly new store and building. Good pay, flexible hours, as well as friendly associates all around so you'll never be lost with questions.

Cons

Better scheduling that doesn't overwork employees or create conflicts. Better attention/coverage for PTO. Unionization without pay, or a lite version. More managers being held responsible for their duties instead of pining the tasks on lesser positions. Controversial: less inclusion, more quality workers.

Pros

+ Can listen to music at night + Breaks are decent + Uniform not mandatory for night crew + 5% discount (though it's still cheaper just to shop somewhere else)

Cons

- Pay is very low - Union & Insurance is super pricey - Little to no support or communication from management - Constant danger from customers and crime (no protection) - Difficult to rely on co-workers

Pros

Union health insurance. Decent pay good pension

Cons

Pretty much everything else... Union job so everything is based off of senority. Management is always trying to write you up for something camera violations, not coming in on your 6th day which is now mandatory. The pay is activity based which can be tough because all drivers are paid by the load so depending on your start time you might only get one load. You only get 5 sick days and 5 floaters a year and the company doesn't work with you all that well if you need a day off if you don't have any time on the books. They have gone through about 25 different dispatchers while I was employed there. Dispatchers play a lot of games and favoritism amongst drivers and even though there is a union contract the company does not honor it. Days off will be during the week for years not a lot of weekend days off on the scheduling. Takes anywhere from 10-12 years to get a partial weekend off. Trucks are slip seat and absolutely disgusting. The shop does the bare minimum and won't fix anything unless absolutely necessary. Pallets are stacked really bad and hardly any shrink wrap so you will be picking up cases or a whole pallets up that fall over in the trailer. All of the drivers are for themselves and will race you back for a reload. So much politics with management and the union it's gross! There is always some greivence being filed due to the company not wanting to pay you for the job you do and trust me the company will drag out greivences for as long as they can get away with it. Lot of drivers leaving because of the stress and mistreatment by the company. Used to be a really great job until they were bought out by an investment firm and now all corporate does is try to cut corners and save money. There are No bonuses whatsoever. That place is whatever you make of it but I wouldn't recommend this job to my worst enemy! There are a lot of better jobs with similar or better pay with way better days off. This is a 24/7 operation you will work every holiday except Christmas day. You will work every weekend and if you have 6 or more hours left on your 5th day you are automatically scheduled to work on your 6th day but get a 100 dollar bonus only if your fulltime part timers don't qualify. You will be part time for 2-4 years which means that the company can move part timers around (days off and start times). You are at the mercy of the warehouse when it comes to loads so if loads aren't ready you have to wait. Everyone at that place has an excuse especially management and nobody wants to be accountable for their responsibilities. Hope this helps good luck.....
