Pros

Fun, active, fast paced job. Low supervision, very independent job duties. Employee discounts on groceries. Company provided uniform. Get to work out doors.

Cons

Low pay and hours. No benefits. Inconsistent work schedule, with some late shifts. Have to work weekends with some late Sunday night shifts.

Pros

they pay well and use to treat you with respect.

Cons

Safeway has become so driven by shareholder greed and pushing the stock up that they have lost sight of what is truly important, selling groceries

Pros

having a 40 hr job

Cons

mainland was fine, Hawaii was joke as a manager I was paid $ 5.00 less than a cashier in California considered as part of our district. store managers make $100,000 plus. I was lucky to get $ 18.90 a hour for my entire time with them. never a wage increase or any incentives. two assistant managers that sit in the office all the time and talk. burd got 30 million a year as president. than when wheels come to town the waste big money and ot on back filling containers and relocating it to another location ! does that make since. there is so much talking on phones, smoking outback in the mess of the worst receiver you have ever seen.
