Pros

Good steady work. If you are flexible and want a chance to advance to management, good company to move up fast with, if you make it known.

Cons

Hours for employees have been cut way back for some reason. Only 2 checkers maybe 3 at best. Nobody really wants to work anymore because of all the unnescessary crap we have to deal with. No baggers anymore, stores are always a mess, and turnover rate in management is starting to become very noticeable. Leadership is not like it used to be and payroll is always messed up along with requested days off. Write ups hardly ever happen except if you are an order witer.

Pros

You would enjoying working for the company if you are with the right people. The work environment puts you on your toes all the time and is highly impressive and appreciated.

Cons

None I can think of right now.

Pros

They're always hiring (high turnover) and aren't too selective. Union's benefit plan is surprisingly good. Their are some nice people there.

Cons

Awful pay, lots of nasty people in positions of power. The work is crappy and thankless. Worst though is management; they are completely incompetent at every level. Corporate has strict safety and performance guidelines that local wants nothing to do with, and every different manager has a different opinion on the "right" way to do something. Store is permanently understaffed but employees are blamed when impossible workloads are not met. Those who care about doing a good job are run ragged while others underperform or screw up. Management does not have resources or power to get to bottom of problems and they go consistently unsolved.
