      It is a paycheck and there are some nice coworkers

      Cons

      Management lies, flat out. Don't believe what you are told and get any 'promises' in writing. Watch your back because there may be a knife headed your way. Don't expect to be given all of the information you need, you have to be proactive and ask lots of questions. Micromanagement. Unrealistic schedules. Specific dress code with no cost assistance. (convenient 'company store' though, imagine that) HR sides with management. Snarky comments, emails and phone calls from management with no recourse. If you complain you are written up.

      Declining business and illegal practices

      Pros

      Hires people of different ethnic, education, and social status backgrounds.

      Cons

      Minimum wage. High standard dress code and no employer compensation.Medical benefits reduced from keizer to cigna. No longer matches retirement pay. Illegal practices such as adjusting timecards if you work over scheduled hours. Encouraged to work off the clock if you can't finish duties in a timely fashion. Never before witnessed such corporate greed in my life. Prices are high and company is on the decline therefore minimizing future chances for advancement.

      Work life balance Easy work if you know what you are doing and didn't grow up at Safeway

      Cons

      Challenging work environment is impossible to find here Managers that given credit and respect to employees is non existent They hire people above their job requirements, so don't be fooled
