Pros

At first I loved my job, but then the company became very profit centric.

Cons

too many changes without proper transformational leadership. Poor leadership abilities from store managmetn and negligence when dealing with employee relations. COnflicts were ignored and strong minded women are not welcomed.

Pros

a paycheck , but no personal life allowed

Cons

Terrible place to work. Management treats front lline associates like dirt and slaves. The company is GREEDY and expects to stay afloat by forcing employees to shop there so managers can make their bonus. I cannot afford to pay $1-$2 more for each item, just so management can keep their jobs and earn their bonuses. Management make mega bucks they are unqualified for and will do anyhting to keep. Healthcare cost for employees have more than doubled in last five years with less coverage Company president says company healthcare costs contained and it is only becasue employees must pay more with less coverage. None s happy here, except senior management becasue they are GREEDY and will do anything to keep collecting their $$$$$ Safeway monitors everything they can about employees including personal information, like healt issues, not only me buy my covered family, prescriptions, how much you spend at Safeway, when you shop, what products you buy. BIG Brother Safeway intrudes into employees lives. Employees are afraid to speak up so remain silent

Pros

Employee discount, fellow employees helpful.

Cons

Poor work scheduling, last-minute changes. Difficult to keep up with regular required chores while being assigned multiple additional tasks. Management needs HR and PR training. They need better centralized employee training and one-on-one guidance for new employees.
