Pros

Good place to pickup trends in manufacturing and gain new skills. Lots of room to make mistakes and grow.

Cons

Slow to adapt to real change and address long standing issues with organization.

Pros

See headline, good start. Above decent healthcare

Cons

Everything else, was better in past. Place would ship all the work out to Mexico if Boeing okayed it. You can either get a chill atl(boss) or one that writes you up for using an electric outlet(stealing power) for personal use. Pay was just good enough to keep people content but not enough to set aside. HR constantly tried to get donations bot various tax write off causes. Union would also get a 2/5. You have to pass a color correction test in training with yearly testable will fire you if you fail , which feels like an ada violation.

Not a good place to move up

Pros

Semi flexible schedule. Easy to just maintain at minimum if thats what you choose to do.

Cons

Not a place where experience matters. Can't advance career without degree. Management does not pay attention to the actual work done just what people tell them. A good, hardworking employee would have to fight for a well deserved promotion while someone who was constantly saying "look what I did " no matter how insignificant, would get promoted without trying. Even harder to get noticed if you were not a man. Sucking up to management gets you farther than actual work.

Thank you for taking the time to provide your detailed and honest review. It is disappointing to hear that in your 8 years of service, you did not feel as though women and men were treated equally. Safran is committed to equal opportunity and inclusion. We take every opportunity we can to promote within regardless of title and encourage our employees to apply for promotions. If you would like to continue giving us details about what you have experienced, please contact na.talentmanagement@safrangroup.com
