Great company for early-career growth if you land in the right role

Pros

The Ignite program is genuinely one of the best parts of Sage, it gives you the structure, mentorship, and guidance needed to grow early in your career. The hybrid work schedule offers a nice mix of flexibility and in-person collaboration. The people and culture are incredibly welcoming, it’s easy to network across departments if you make the effort. Compensation can be very competitive if you negotiate; pay has been fair for me, especially considering my experience level

Cons

A significant amount of time goes into planning, documentation, and status reporting, which can take away from hands-on technical work. Growth opportunities can feel limited within certain functions; the path feels very linear (Associate → Engineer → Senior), with little visibility into how to transition into management or leadership roles. Pay satisfaction seems to vary — I’ve heard from peers that it’s inconsistent depending on negotiation and team.

Pros

There was a wide variety of projects that helped it to be a good work experience. Benefits and salaries were good.

Cons

All of the negatives that come with working at a large company.

Good benefits, culture, great people

Pros

The compensation is on par with the market, there's some great technologies in use, lots of opportunity for growth. The company culture is great but it can be hard at times with colleagues being scattered throughout the globe. I worked on the West coast so it was especially hard to coordinate with teams in the UK.

Cons

Lack of flexibility in work from home and work from away policies. Being a global company, there's too much red tape.
