Pros

Work from home Decent pay

Cons

1) Lousy technical support (It took me 4 computer shipments back and forth to finally get one of their equipment that actually worked, on top of that, the IT guy couldn't figure out what configuration of server was needed. I did, and I am no IT). 2) Discriminatory training. Our class trainer, a black lady, always came out with statement such as "women belong in the kitchen, and they should be lucky to get a baby daddy that can provide so that they don't have to work". "Short women are cool, tall women are not". "My baby daddies can't always afford me".... 3) Immense loss of time during training The class would spend at least 30 to 45 minutes in our trainer's gospel, gossip, her private life details. 4) Discriminatory remarks never addressed Many of my class mates (majority women) would brag about having no empathy for men and feel like laughing in case a man in distress would call the customer service for help. I am a woman, and I would laugh to an individual in distress, especially since it was supposed to be my job, as health care customer service representative, to help them. These remarks were never addressed by our trainer. 5) Discriminatory remarks from higher levels of the company In several "cameo" from higher level company employees, we were told that we were lucky that we would work for HGS, because if we were past 40 years old, we had little to no chance to get employed anywhere else. 6) Lack of assistance from HR When these above mentioned, and other issues were escalated to HR, rom many individuals of my class, we wee either put on a warning with no reason or, and the following is my personal case, I received no follow up whatsoever.
