Pros

The pay was satisfactory, and what truly made the experience exceptional was the incredible group of people I had the privilege to work with on the production and warehouse team. Together, we were dedicated to manufacturing a product that holds significant importance—it saves lives.

Cons

I witnessed firsthand how the Supply Chain department deteriorated into a toxic and dysfunctional environment. This deterioration can be attributed to the incompetence of both the supply chain and HR managers, whose actions and decisions bred a culture of mediocrity. Shockingly, the company's reward system seemed to favor incompetence, disregarding the hard work and loyalty of dedicated employees like myself. This imbalance in recognition only served to demoralize the workforce, creating an atmosphere of discouragement and extreme stress. The problems within the department were further exacerbated by outdated Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and numerous process gaps, which left us ill-equipped to handle daily challenges effectively. Additionally, the lack of manager accountability contributed to the erosion of trust and transparency, as unchecked lies and dishonest practices were allowed to flourish unchecked. Communication within the team was severely hindered, leading to misunderstandings and conflicts, while critical safety concerns were carelessly overlooked, putting employees' well-being at risk. Furthermore, it became evident that certain individuals abused their power within the department, making the work environment even more intolerable. Their actions went unchecked due to the complacency of the higher-ups, creating an atmosphere of fear and frustration for those who dared to speak up. Perhaps most disheartening was the apparent indifference displayed by the corporate management towards these mounting issues. Despite numerous complaints and pleas for intervention, they turned a blind eye to the unfolding problems, leaving employees like me feeling abandoned and unheard. The toxic atmosphere within the Supply Chain department was the result of a combination of incompetence, favoritism, outdated practices, and a lack of accountability at managerial levels. The disregard for employee well-being and the overall state of the department demonstrated a profound failure in leadership and corporate responsibility. It is my sincere hope that the company recognizes these grave shortcomings and takes urgent and decisive actions to rectify the situation, fostering a healthier and more supportive work environment for all its employees.

Pros

There are no pros because safety was not guaranteed to women.

Cons

They sweep sexual harassment and sexual assault reports under the rug and blame the victim instead. The only "solution" Saint-Gobain has is making everyone take an online sexual harassment course, while keeping sexual harassers on staff who have multiple reports against them. It's also worth noting that the team I worked in has a record for high turnover of female employees.
