Pros

Not just a paycheck. This company spends a lot of time and energy fostering a culture that continually supports collaboration and career development. They are very conscious when hiring from outside the organization and try to show appreciation to their staff. When they promote from within (which happens often on the sales side) it's a cause to celebrate success. This company is poised to do great things in the next few years and there are lots of big ideas floating around.

Cons

There's not a lot of full company communication on things other than benefits, could use more insight as to how we're doing as a whole.

Pros

Brand new product, brand new office, reliable and world class data for employers, best of breed compensation tools. Great vision and direction for the company. Has a proven track record with 20+ years of experience.

Cons

Not very competitive in pay. Promote employees that are favorites. Focus is on Metrics and not on business needs, forcing others to pick up on slack.

Pros

Salary.com has seen some big changes in the last 18 months. Following the buy-back from IBM, the company spent the first year stabilizing the business: establishing processes, enabling the sales team, building a marketing team, and refocusing on customer service. There's still a ways to go before everything is running like clockwork, but they've hired some amazing talent (some new and some returning Salary.comers from the first time around) and are beginning to see some big wins. The new product looks beautiful, they've got great people on board, and there's a lot of laughter in the Waltham office every day.

Cons

The work is challenging, but engaging at the same time. If you're smart and you like to solve problems, this is a great place for you. I've experienced some growing pains over the last 18 months, and there's plenty of stuff that still needs to be addressed, but everything is headed in the right direction.
