Pros

Many customers have bought in and so plenty of add on business to do. Salary, PTO and overall package. Paid VTO work and many equality initiatives. Organisation is solid and well defined.

Cons

Becoming Oracle II. Impossible tiny territories with big targets for Account Execs so revolving door of top reps coming and going once they understand the harsh reality and the expectation that only 1 in 5 people make their number annually. Growth thanks to acquisitions so if you want to join, make sure to join one of these organisations and not the legacy or core organisation. Salesforce has grown into a value driven organisation; which means "soft" values like wellness, PTO and VTO... however as a leader, the values are revenue and ACV only so good luck balancing those two dimensions.

Pros

Great products overall. There is still a lot of solid talent here but they are starting to leave. They are acquiring companies so we will continue to grow. It is an excellent place to learn if you are new to sales and need a respected company on your resume. There are lots of opportunities for women and we have a promising career path here.

Cons

Accountants and beurocrats have taken over. When a company stops taking care of its employees, the customers are next. The non-productive overhead has increased significantly and they are now cheating their sales and sales managers out of commissions. This is no longer a place for experienced or top producing AE’s. They will screw you out of money any chance they get and hide behind the policy. It's really sad actually. Even medium producers have compensation challenges. Go elsewhere unless you don't care about money or are a new or mediocre sales rep. Top talent won't get rewarded here.
