Pros

Employee Benefits are great. Strong position in marketplace. SF is a great product! I think Marc is a good leader. He's believable to me. Unfortunately there's too many parrots in the organization who try to build their brand and get noticed by trying to be mini-Marcs; they try to crank up their social change charisma but lack his ability to inspire.

Cons

Stock refreshers have dried up. Promotions don't come with pay increase. Overly saturated "woke" culture is often overbearing. Under the banner of "business is the best platform for change" you will be lectured via email or company webcast on each and every recent social issue as they occur. It is not uncommon for a SVP or above to email their organization on how they feel about a particular social issue. Those in positions of power at SF, apparently are more versed on these social issues and you are supposed to benefit from their insight. The idea of "listening to each other" means those on the bottom listen to those on top.

Pros

If you're in the right role with the right leadership, you'll get exposure, opportunity, support and growth. You'll learn from the most talented marketers around, and you'll have more experiences in a year at Salesforce than you would in 10 years anywhere else.

Cons

Salesforce pays new hires at/above market rate, but won't compensate existing employees to bring them up to market rate--merit increases and promotions will never get you there. It's well-known that in order to be paid fairly at Salesforce, you have to leave the company to get your worth. It's incredibly disconcerting that top talent isn't valued, and that the company is essentially betting you won't take the risk of leaving in order to be paid fairly. "Equality" is a value in name only, and the "equal pay" practices aren't actual equality, it's just a marketing ploy by HR and leadership.
