As more external executives join the company, Salesforce loses a little more of its central identity and becomes a Frankenstein's monster of external corporate culture. The new focus on shareholder satisfaction, margins, and profits has a detrimental impact on worker happiness and well-being and has put an unnecessary emphasis on things like which category of Uber you use to get to and from the airport. The company is so big that, at times, multiple people are working on the same thing but not cross-functionally collaborating and taking different paths to get there.
