      Pros

      The people i work with are great and we work well as a team.

      Cons

      Salesforce stresses "Ohana" and "Equal pay" but if you're an acquired company. Dont expect that to trickle down from big daddy salesforce. They also go through so many re-orgs that you dont know who you work for or where to go when you need assistance.

      Pros

      For solution engineers, this is a great place to work. The salesforce name has a lot of cache to it, and as soon as you build up a reputation, the entire world comes after you. Partners, competitors, customers, etc. It is a great way to open up a lot of doors in your career.

      Cons

      Sadly, whatever doors open up to advance your career tend not to readily come from salesforce itself. There are a lot of solution engineers at the company, and there is now a pretty big logjam for promotions. Word is out that the playbook is to put in 2-3 years at Salesforce, take a high profile job elsewhere, and then if you miss the place, come back at a much higher level.

Over the last year, we have been taking steps to encourage both managers and employees to have open conversations about career aspirations. We also launched and are continuing to grow our internal recruiting team, which is proactively pointing employees to other relevant opportunities within the company. We hope these steps as well as others we are taking will help employees find their next great opportunity inside the company. We'll miss you at Salesforce, but as you note in your review, we do welcome our former employees back to the Ohana, so hopefully our paths will cross again in the future!
